Dr. Lucie Kalinova, Ph.D., accumulated several years of experience in the public sector and served as the head of the plastic surgery department at Bulovka Hospital in Prague, the capital city of Czech Republic. She is a prominent figure in aesthetic medicine in the Czech Republic and one of the few women in an otherwise male-dominated field. She is author of several specialized publications on plastic surgery and a frequent speaker at both Czech and international conferences dedicated to innovations in the field of plastic surgery.
Her journey in the world of aesthetic medicine began with studies at the Faculty of Medicine at Palacký University in Olomouc. She further honed her skills at the Plastic Surgery Clinic of Bulovka Hospital, where she gained the experience necessary to pass the certification exam in the field of plastic surgery under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. MUDr. Jan Měšťák. Subsequently, she worked there as a physician specializing in breast reconstruction after oncological diseases and as a teaching assistant for students of the Third Faculty of Medicine at Charles University. In 2018, she became the head of the Plastic Surgery Clinic at Bulovka Hospital.
Currently, Dr. Lucie Kalinova leads the team of skilled physicians at the Prague-based Brandeis Clinic by Lucie Kalinová, where she has notably expanded the plastic surgery department. Her primary focus in private practice lies in plastic and aesthetic surgery, with a specialization on breast and facial surgeries. She performs around 700 surgeries annually, primarily for international clients.
Kalinova is also an expert in the application of injectables. Her experience in surgical procedures, outstanding knowledge of anatomy, and insights gained from international symposia have enabled her to become an instructor for the application of injectables in facial aesthetics by Allergan®. She is also a trainer in the application of botulinum toxin, Juvedérm® and Belkyra® fillers, and the first trained surgeon in the Czech Republic for Aptos thread lifting methods.
In 2023, she co-founded the Perfect Beauty Academy with Dr. Roman Kufa – an educational platform for professionals focused on expanding knowledge about the most cutting-edge techniques and approaches in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery and dermatology.
